At Hansen Surfboards, we believe hard work deserves to be rewarded—both in and out of the water. That’s why we’re proud to continue our long-standing Goods for Grades program, designed to encourage students to do their best in school while earning rewards they can actually use.

How It Works

Students can bring in their current school report cards and earn Hansen Surfboards vouchers based on their grades. These vouchers can be saved up and used toward merchandise in the shop! 

WHAT TO DO IN-STORE:

  • When you arrive at the shop go to the main store front counter, fill out our GFG form and turn in your report card + form to a Hansen's employee. If you are planning on shopping, do all of this BEFORE you shop! 
  • We accept emailed report cards, however you must be in the store and have your GFG form filled out prior to emailing in your report card. It cannot be done ahead of time, again, it all must be done in-store. Our GFG email will be given to you when you fill out the form! 

Each school year, students may redeem:

  • Grades K - 12 (sorry, no pre-school or college!)

  • One Mid-Year (First Semester) Report Card

  • One Final (Second Semester) Report Card

(Progress reports are not accepted.)

Voucher Breakdown

  • $4 for an A (or highest numerical/alphabetical grade)

  • $2 for a B (or second-highest numerical/alphabetical grade)

  • Vouchers are awarded for up to 6 subjects per report card

  • 4 Core Classes + 2 Electives: Core subjects include English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, plus the next two highest-graded elective subjects (such as Art, PE, Music, or Computers, etc.)

  • We do not take into consideration weighted or AP class grades...an A is counted as an A, B is counted as a B, C is counted as a C...etc!

Important Dates

  • Mid-Year Report Card: Deadline to bring in report card is March 31

  • Final Report Card: Deadline to bring in report card is August 15

Vouchers must be picked up by these dates, but they do not have to be used right away. Hansen Surfboards will not issue vouchers for the previous school year once the new school year begins. Please respect these deadlines! 

Things To Know:

  • Please bring school ID
  • Report cards must include name, school year/semester, and school name (and grades of course!)

  • Vouchers are valid for merchandise only (cannot be used to purchase a gift card!)

  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost

  • Voucher's cannot be redeemed online

  • Students may only receive and use their own vouchers

  • Vouchers do not expire! Just be sure to bring your report cards in to acquire your voucher by the deadlines!
