With NEW DRYRIDE Nanoshell science, a technology comprised of microscopic particles that evenly coat the fabric for a supremely efficient barrier against wetness, the battle just took a turn towards the dry side. Strategically insulated for optimal mobility and warmth all season, its shred everything design is also matched with removable waist and wrist gaiters to fully seal out deep snow and sudden downpours.
FEATURES
DRYRIDE Nanoshell™ 2L Fabric
The next step in water-repellency, NEW DRYRIDE Nanoshell modifies fabric at a molecular level by permanently bonding hydrophobic “whiskers" to individual fibers. Water-droplets are elevated, causing them to bead and roll off for long-lasting performance that won’t break down over time, or alter the fabric’s look and feel like typical water-repellent coatings.
Men's Quad Package Mapping
Strategically designed lining system for maximized comfort, mobility, and heat retention. Powered by 3M™ Thinsulate™ and X-STATIC® antimicrobial insulations in select styles.
Powered by NEW 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation
Burton team riders require ultimate mobility and comfort in all conditions. With 3M™, Burton found a progressive solution through a blend of 3M™ Thinsulate™—an insulation constructed from unique, high-loft microfibers for increased warmth with less bulk. Breathable, water-resistant and durable, it’s proving there’s substance to the cliché: less is more.
Flannel Lining
No half-assed over-printing here. For the real deal flannel look and feel, we developed a yarn-dyed fabrication that utilizes soft, quick-drying materials to enhance warmth and comfort.
Taffeta Lining
Taffeta offers a crisp, high-end feel that is often woven using a mix of synthetic fibers. Its unique hand feel and sheen make it ideal for printing and embossing, and like all Burton linings it wicks and breathes easy to keep you dry from the inside out. Options made using recycled materials available within the GMP collection of eco-minded outerwear.
Men's Sig Fit
JACKETS Our tried-and-true fit—built with room for layering, without being overly baggy. Sleeves designed with a bit of extra length to fit over your gloves and keep snow out when strapping into your bindings. PANTS Classic, rider-focused articulated fit, built with room to sag and layer underneath, without being overly baggy. Based on rider feedback, leg circumference is slightly narrower from thigh to cuff without looking pinner.
Drop Hood Construction
With the hood attached lower on the collar, this design offers improved comfort, a better fit, and seamless performance when worn with or without a helmet. Featured on jackets across the men’s and women’s line.
Sound/Goggle Pocket
A headphone cable port prevents tangled wires, while the angled, tricot sleeve securely stores audio devices of all shapes and sizes. Separate internal stash accommodates goggles or other on-hill paraphernalia. Featured on all Burton jackets $200 and up.
