Heather Ford from Fox 5 news was in the shop this morning talking with Ken about our ski and snow gear and what we have to offer.

 We are one of just a few shops that sell ski and snow stuff in the San Diego area and with the local mountains just a few hours away we are the perfect place to come for all your snow needs.  I mean who would not want to surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon.  These are a few images from the Fox news segments this morning.

Well it has been quite a dry winter so far and for us at Hansen’s our snow season is about done.  As I am writing this blog post I think mammoth is going to get dumped on tonight and many parts of the country over the past weeks have finally seen some solid snow fall.  Over the past month we have seen our snow sales slow quite dramatically with the lack of snow locally and so we still have an amazing selection of snowboard and ski clothing and all the hard goods like skis, snowboards and boots to go with it. Our end of season snow sale starts February 2^nd and this will be one of our best snow sales yet as we do have a little more inventory then in past years.

Let it rain… let it SNOW!!!

Am I some sort of sicko because the cold, pouring rain at daybreak totally makes my day? I’ve always had a thing for weather like this, and I suspect it started back when I was five and put on my first pair of snow skis. I learned fast that bad weather meant great snow conditions and that awesome, fly-through-the-powder feeling the next day!
